Wix retired it: ADI sites became unsupported on November 10, 2024, and existing ADI sites were migrated into the regular Wix Editor. The replacement is the Wix AI Website Builder, which swaps the questionnaire for a conversation with an AI agent called Aria and generates a site you then refine in Wix's editing tools. The platform has not stood still since: in January 2026 Wix launched Harmony, a hybrid builder layering AI assistance over conventional drag-and-drop editing. The practical upshot is friendly — searching for ADI in 2026 lands you on a better product than the one you searched for, with three generations of building modes stacked inside one platform.

The roaster brief through Aria

Run against our standard brief, the AI builder's conversational flow gathers the business's shape — what you do, which pages you need, what tone you want — and produces a complete draft site on Wix's infrastructure. The five-page roaster structure is comfortable territory, and a wholesale page ending in an inquiry form is the kind of thing Wix's form tooling has handled for a decade, so our usual template trap catches nothing here. What the flow really buys you is a running start into the ecosystem: the draft arrives already wired to Wix's hosting, forms, SEO tooling, and app infrastructure. Design, editing, and the template question

Here is the caveat we weight most heavily: Wix design decisions harden quickly. You cannot switch a site to a different template without rebuilding it — the structure you accept at generation is the structure you will live in, dressed up or down. The editors are genuinely capable within that structure, and Harmony's hybrid mode makes AI-assisted changes less fiddly than they used to be. But where Framer lets you re-architect a page at will and Lovable regenerates code on request, Wix expects you to commit early. The site starts as five pages, adds a booking app for cupping sessions, then switches on Core-plan payments when the beans go on sale — no migration at any step. Pricing tiers, both billing cycles

The free plan is free forever: build with the AI and publish on a username.wixsite.com subdomain, living with Wix ads on the page and no custom domain. As a sandbox it is excellent; as a business site it is not credible.

Paid tiers, annual billing first. Light at $17 a month ($24 month to month) removes the ads and connects a custom domain but includes only 2 GB of storage. Core at $29 ($36 monthly) is the first tier that can accept payments, and it also unlocks Bookings, with 50 GB of storage. Business at $39 ($46 monthly) and Business Elite at $159 ($172 monthly) extend commerce and scale features upward. Limits and caveats

Three things to price in before committing. Light's 2 GB of storage is genuinely tight — a photography-heavy roaster site can crowd it, and the fix is a Core upgrade you otherwise might not need. The free plan's Wix ads never come off without paying, which is fair but worth stating in advance. And the template commitment discussed above is the big one: more than any rival on our bench, Wix rewards getting the structure right at generation time. None of these are dealbreakers. Who should build on Wix

Wix fits the business that expects to be running the same site in five years: add bookings, add a store, add apps, never migrate. It fits people who value a large ecosystem's safety net — templates, apps, support channels, an enormous user base that has already hit whatever problem you are about to have. It does not fit the design perfectionist, who belongs on Framer; the app builder, who belongs on Lovable; or the pure bargain hunter — Hostinger's bundle undercuts Wix substantially for a simple site with domain and email included.
